The role

At Pocket FM, our mission is to deliver immersive storytelling experiences to audiences across the world. We create audio series that engage listeners through strong narratives, emotional hooks, memorable characters, and high-quality production.

We are looking for a creative and performance-oriented Promo Video Editor to join the Promo Team for the Latin America market. The role will focus on creating, adapting, and improving video ads, trailers, and promotional creatives for Pocket FM audio series.

Role Overview

As a Promo Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing high-quality promo videos and ad creatives that support performance marketing campaigns. You will work closely with the Promo Lead, writers, sound engineers, dubbing partners, and creative teams to convert scripts, audio, visuals, and existing ads into strong video assets.

The ideal candidate should understand ad creation, promo creation, trailer storytelling, audience hooks, pacing, CTA placement, subtitle integration, audio-video sync, and GenAI-assisted video creation. Prior experience in creating performance ads, trailers, teasers, or promotional videos is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Promo Video Creation

  • Create new video ads, trailers, teasers, and promo creatives for Pocket FM audio series.

  • Convert promo scripts, audio files, character references, and creative briefs into engaging video assets.

  • Build strong openings, emotional beats, dramatic pacing, cliffhangers, and clear CTAs.

  • Create short-form and long-form video versions suitable for performance marketing platforms.

2. Ad Adaptation & Localization

  • Adapt existing ads from other geographies for the Brazilian market.

  • Stitch localized Brazilian Portuguese SRTs, dubbed audio, audio mixes, CTAs, logos, end cards, and other required elements.

  • Ensure adapted ads feel native to the local audience and do not look like direct reuse of another market’s creative.

  • Maintain the original creative intent while improving local relevance, clarity, and audience engagement.

3. Editing, Audio Sync & Visual Packaging

  • Edit raw video assets, existing ad cuts, motion graphics, images, captions, and sound elements into polished promo videos.

  • Sync dubbed audio with visuals, subtitles, transitions, and background music.

  • Add subtitles, lower thirds, thumbnails, text overlays, logos, start frames, end frames, and CTA screens as required.

  • Ensure all final videos are clean, platform-ready, and aligned with Pocket FM’s quality standards.

4. Performance Creative Reworks

  • Rework underperforming video ads based on feedback from the Promo Lead and marketing teams.

  • Create alternate hooks, revised openings, shorter cuts, new CTA versions, and sharper video structures.

  • Identify video-level issues such as slow pacing, weak opening, poor audio-video sync, unclear CTA, weak visuals, or low emotional impact.

  • Produce multiple ad variants from the same source material for creative testing.

5. GenAI Video & Creative Tools

  • Use GenAI tools for video creation, image generation, character generation, motion graphics, and creative experimentation.

  • Create AI-assisted video assets, visuals, characters, backgrounds, or animation elements where required.

  • Explore new AI tools and workflows to improve video quality, speed, and production efficiency.

  • Ensure AI-generated outputs are reviewed, polished, and aligned with the creative direction.

6. Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work closely with the Promo Lead, writers, sound engineers, dubbing agencies, and video team members.

  • Understand show briefs, scripts, English references, localized audio, SRTs, and campaign requirements before editing.

  • Incorporate feedback quickly and submit revised cuts within agreed timelines.

  • Maintain organized project files, versioning, exports, and delivery folders.

7. Quality & Timely Delivery

  • Ensure all videos meet creative, technical, language, branding, and platform requirements.

  • Check every output for subtitle accuracy, audio sync, visual quality, CTA placement, spelling, and final export settings.

  • Deliver assigned video assets as per timelines and campaign priorities.

  • Share daily or weekly progress updates with the Promo Lead as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Film Editing, Media, Animation, Visual Communication, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in video editing, promo creation, ad creation, trailer editing, motion graphics, or digital content production.

  • Experience creating performance marketing videos, trailers, teasers, social media ads, or promotional creatives.

  • Strong understanding of ad hooks, storytelling, pacing, subtitles, CTAs, and audience retention.

  • Proficiency in professional video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.

  • Working knowledge of motion graphics tools such as Adobe After Effects or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with GenAI video, image, animation, and creative production tools like midjourney, VEO 2 & 3, Leonardo, seedance etc.

  • Basic audio editing and audio-video synchronization skills.

  • Proficiency in English

  • Ability to handle multiple edits, versions, and feedback cycles in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to first-time-right delivery.

Key Deliverables

  • New promo video ads and trailers for Pocket FM audio series.

  • Adapted ads from other geographies for the Latin America market.

  • Localized video with Portuguese SRTs, dubbed audio, audio mix, CTA, logo, and end cards.

  • Multiple ad variants from existing source creatives.

  • Reworked versions of non-performing video ads.

  • GenAI-assisted video assets, images, characters, or motion elements.

  • Final platform-ready video exports as per campaign requirements.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a video editor who understands both storytelling and performance advertising. They should be able to turn scripts, audio, visuals, and existing ads into engaging promo videos that attract audiences and support campaign performance.

They should have strong editing judgment, good understanding of trailers and ads, comfort with GenAI tools, and the ability to adapt creatives for Latin America audiences with speed, quality, and attention to detail.
