Role Description The Assistant Video Editor role at Epic Engage Media is a full-time, on-site position based in Colombo. This role involves supporting the video production team by assembling raw footage, organizing media assets, and creating engaging video edits for social media campaigns and digital advertising. The Assistant Video Editor will assist with basic color grading, simple motion graphics, and visual enhancements to ensure consistency with brand guidelines. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with content creators and strategists, following creative briefs, exporting and formatting videos for various platforms, and maintaining efficient file management and backup processes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational skills in video production and video editing for digital and social media content.
• Ability to perform video color grading and basic motion graphics to enhance visual quality.
• Competence in graphics-related tasks, such as simple overlays, titles, and visual elements.
• Familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and motion/graphics tools (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to work under deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to receive and implement feedback constructively.
• Relevant education or training in film, multimedia, design, or a related field is an advantage.
• Portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing and visual storytelling skills is highly beneficial.
